Flying doesn’t
have to be just a dream.

Now, with the arrival of certified Light Sport Aircrafts (LSAs), you can earn your license in half the time it takes to get a private pilot license. With the new LSA aircraft, you can own your personal airplane for about the cost of a luxury SUV and you’ll burn 4 GPH and fly at 100+ miles an hour, too!

Fly where
you really want to go.

You can fly into the airport of your choice, rather than getting probed and prodded and packed into a big plane full of strangers. Meet your friends at their local airport, in your own airplane. Save time and hassle: sit down at a Fixed Base Operator (FBO), have a cup of coffee, and discover the camaraderie of aviators.

It is easy to get started.

Wings of Paradise, Inc. has been servicing ultralight pilots for a decade, and we use a “Keep it Safe, Keep it Simple” approach that makes flight training both comprehensive and fun.

If you are planning a career in aviation, every hour you spend flying a Light Sport Aircraft will transfer toward any FAA pilot’s certification!

We use the SLSA certified FK-9 Mark IV airplane for training. It's designed to take advantage of all that the LSA rules have to offer: comfort, modern styling, docile handling, and efficient operation.

We are located in picturesque Pembroke Pines, Florida near Miami and Ft. Lauderdale at friendly North Perry Airport (HWO). Our dedicated instructors are here to help you learn to fly. Whether you would like to start from scratch, re-tune yesteryear’s flight experience, or upgrade from ultralight flying, we understand you and share your dream. We’ve been there!

How to become
a Sport Pilot student:

First, complete this checklist:

I am at least 17 years old.

I have a current driver’s license
or a Third Class Medical Certificate. I have not had a recent medical revoked or suspended.

I am enthusiastic about flying.

If you have completed the above checklist, and you're ready, contact us and we can schedule your first lesson. You’ll receive your books and materials, meet your flight instructor and your training airplane.

How long does it take?

Flight training depends on the individual’s learning pace. You can even earn your license during your vacation, if you study the books ahead of time. We have seen candidates progress from nowhere to license in as little as a two weeks.  However, everyone is different and your completion time will vary. Weather permitted, two weeks is often sufficient.

We’ll see you in South Florida!
